The Shawshank Redemption Two things:

1) People should develop an above excellent marihuana strain and name it Morgan Freeman's voice.

2) This undisputable masterpiece will tug at your heartstrings - wether you want to or not.

Color Out of Space 6/10

Didn’t feel very Lovecraftian, but Cage did what he’s hired to do nowadays.

The Turning 3/10

Of course they fucked it up. Nobody knows how to do these kind of horror movies anymore, except for Ari Aster and he wasn’t involved with this pathetic piece of shit.

The boy from IT and the old hag did alright tho.

Annon (2018) (Netflix original)
8/10

Real science fiction. In the near future, or alternate reality, all humans are implanted with an a local and Internet connection that records what they see and hear, a virtual reality recording, if you will. Seeing what someone did or did not do is easily accessible. A 'police detective' official (Clive Owen) investigates a series of murders... which hasn't been so difficult in a long time... if you can imagine this type of reality. The story alludes to obvious concerns of totalitarianism and (perhaps unintentional) allusions to 'Judgement Day.

I respect this film's commitment to the science fiction topic it's engage in. That's exactly what I want in most sci-fis. The film has excellent production value, including the special effects and cinematography, which doesn't require anything big or flashy. There is suspense, but it's not the film's forte; and those looking for action, romance and comedy, or even character development, will likely find the film lacking. But for those looking for an intellectual engaging and thought-provoking sci-fi, this film delivers the goods.

I just saw Netflix's adaptation of Stephen King's "1922," which is overall well done, and covers the story Stephen King wrote overall well. All of the roles were portrayed perfectly by some very good actors, along with a great director and a great editor. There is also a lot of great scenery in excellent picture quality on Netflix. The buildings, vehicles, and clothes were all looking as if they were back in that time as well. Those who enjoyed that story should not be disappointed.

I also saw a weird but interesting psychological horror film called "Don't Knock Twice," which is overall intense and interesting. It also has a decent amount of twists and turns on who a real life child killer actually was and who was actually responsible for the hauntings happening in the story, making it appear to be one person, then another, etc. This also has plenty of awesome looking artsy scenes done very well with the props they had. There is also a bit of mind blower at the end...

THE REZORT 2015

A young British couple travel to a resort where you can safely zombie hunt on a controlled safari.
A bit jurassic park-like but i enjoyed it.
