Angra, that was phenomenal... Now Peter the Tumor is stuck in my head (heh - literally).

I feel the need to reference this now:

As well you should. That POTA clip will forever be one of the greatest ever.

"Night Of The Comet" (1984)

Plot:IMDB
A comet wipes out most of life on Earth, leaving two Valley Girls and a truck driver to fight the evil types who survive.

Phantom's Review: I remember seeing this film back in the '80's and thinking what a silly, schlocky movie. Well time marches on and I finally see the film again for the first time in decades, and guess what? it's still a silly, schlocky movie.
Filled with plot holes the size of a canyon, but for some reason the film is actually quite entertaining, in a "leave your brain at the door kind of way". If your looking for a serious "End Of The World" type of film, then skip this one, if you want some fun, then this is not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

I liked that movie. It was, as you said, fun. A "so bad it's good" type of movie.

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974)

Bizarre, disjointed and confusing Peckinpah classic. Warren Oats rocks!

The Spook Who Sat by the Door (1973)

This is a film that I had on my 'to see' list for years. Damn - I should have watched it earlier. This is an amazing film that far exceeds its blaxploitation trappings. Dan Freeman is the first black CIA agent who gets sick of whitey and the treatment of his people, so using his training he organises a guerrilla army to destroy the system.

I watched The Shining (1980) and Puppetmaster again last night. Of course, I love the Shining and Puppetmaster is really good, even if it is cheesy.

Saint Jack (1979)

One of the lesser seen Peter Bogdanovich films - Ben Gazzara plays a pimp on the hussle in Singapore in the early 70's. Good character driven film with great performances from the lead and Denholm Elliott.

Not so fond of alien type of movie, but just watched 'John Carpenter's The Thing' earlier.

It's a good movie, but did not find it scary. I also think the movie is slow.. good special effects though, a bit creepy on that one.
