I honestly thought you would enjoy it, specifically. There's a certain amount of whimsy inherent in this film that I think you enjoyed in Zebraman.

It was DEFINITELY theatrical - to operatic proportions. The love story was colorful, quixotic, and charming - I thought that our male lead was both gorgeous and absolutely absurd at the same time. And the "solution" made me even tear up a little... One of the most droll yet sweet scenes that I've even seen in a film.

And I loved the colorful psycho ward characters - definitely reminiscent of the female prison inmates that he created in Lady Vengeance; adding a certain amount of absurdity to the setting.

It just proves to me that Park knows how to make truly beautiful cinema; and cinema with a huge amount of depth behind it, whether its the wearing down of the human will or if its within the psychotic human psyche. He's playful, intelligent, and, oddly enough, just honest.

I can't wait for his next venture to come out.
