Cell

Have anyone read Stephen King's Cell? Basically what this book is about is a virus that run from cell phone to cell phone and turn people into zombie like murderous madmen. I find the books works as a survival horror but is not exceptional, where however this book is brilliant is that by turning a item most of us use every day into something to fear then it get very creepy. In a way Cell is similar to the movie The Signal, however I think the Cell is so much better than The Signal at creating a creepy mood and making the story flow.

It was an interesting faux-zombie story. I hope the film comes out soon.

I read it a while back. Not a bad book.

With everyone's desire, these days, to be in constant contact with everyone else, and thus the cell phone always at an ear, I've often wondered the damage that could be wrought if some evil genius would be able to send out a pulse to everyone's phone and scrambled their brains once they answered.

I was working on a plot of my own with ideas spawned by the movie Pulse. King just beat me to it. :D

Write the book anyway, the world can do with more evil cell phone books.

Is there a movie in the making for Cell? I did not know that, though I would not be surprised, there is movies made for allot of Stephen King books. I think it would make for a cool film.

First I've heard of it. But now I'm eager to see it.

Yes I can not wait for this. We can never have enough zombie movies, even if these are not true zombies, and movies based on Stephen King's books tend to be great, at least in my opinion.

I actually really liked Cell - It definitely drew me in and I got attached to the characters. My only issue is that I thought that the ending was a big dissatisfying... Then again, when you're creating a whole new world like that, it's difficult to end it per se, so I can't really say that I have a better suggestion for the end.

I'd rather see it as a mini series instead of a movie - The story is just so vast, I don't think that an hour and a half could do it justice.

Another book I'm gonna have to read. Never seems to be a shortage of those.

I have to admit I just loved the book! The way the people got turned into zombies and the dear "crazies" that got organized.

I loved it so much I read it again just as soon as I finished, its a definitely must read!
