May Vs. Scream... hmmm well thats a toss up.
hahah I really havent even seen scream but lame tennage horror movies dont do anything for me. May is sick and has a lot of great movie making ideas. if you like sick fucked up movies you will like this one. |

it's definitely not that fucked up. and as I've said before in other threads about this movie, it's too "Hot Topic" for me.
as for sorta-indie horror from that time period, I thought Love Object was better, and even explored semi-similar themes.

I really loved May. The reason I loved May was Angela Bettis. She was fantastic in the title role. I felt such sympathy for her character. I was hoping to see more of her, but she hasn't done much since this film has she? Scream is a better made movie than May, but noone in Scream gives a better performance than Angela Bettis does in May.
