Best Horror soundtrack in your opinion
In my humble opinion I think youd have to go far to beat the Suspiria soundtrack http://youtu.be/RBhF__cBH8E by Goblin...who incidentally did the music for Dawn of The dead too..http://youtu.be/PvkX19h8A5A .How about you?

I like most of the stuff Goblin have done, but my personal favourite is James Bernard's work in the hammer horror films....

I really like Carpenter's stuff. Think I dig that it's dated because it takes me right back to that period in time.
Goblin have some dated prog sounding stuff too. They've done some top notch shit and have made all the movies the we involved with much more striking. My favorite is soundtracks are pretty much anything by Bernard Herrmann. Someone should get Electric Wizard to do the music for a horror flick. |

I love Carpenter's stuff. Prince Of Darkness, Escape From New York & Halloween III are my favs.
Gobin, is great of course. I love Suspiria & Dawn Of The Dead. Bernard Herrmann's score for Dracula alone puts him way up on the list. One of my favorites to listen to is John Harrison's Day Of The Dead soundtrack. I also love Fabio Frizzi's work with Lucio Fulci. I love listening to The Beyond, Zombie 2 & City Of The Living Dead soundtracks. Maybe "V" should drum up another tournament of Greatest Horror Composers? |
