If they use the old approach and don't try to make it too commercial/Hollywood it think it could be good.
There are still subjects and mythical creatures they haven't explored in the series.

Always have been a fan of the show.
I like the general storyline involving aliens despite the plotholes and things that just don't make any sense.
The best episodes are ofcourse the stand-alone episodes dealing with one specific problem like some weird creature.

Some time ago I realised I haven't seen the complete series.
So I got them and began watching.
I'm at season 8 right now.
The worst seasons so far were 6 and 7. That's were you notice the most changes, like more humour or a different approach in order to appeal to a big (more regular?) audience. Some episodes barely involved a case.

I agree, I hope it comes in geared toward those of us that watched the original series but updated to bring in a new crowd of people like us... weird I guess. Lol. Im in the middle of talking my wife into watching it. As for Supernatural, we are three seasons in and really like it.

I will check it out just to see where they take it. As for Supernatural, I loved it all the way to the 10th season. I will finish it out but I'm rather disappointed right now.

We haven't gotten that far. We start everything late. Trying to catch up on Supernatural and the dicks at Netflix thought it would be a good idea to add every episode of Dr. Who. Right now Im lost in 60's Dr. Who. As much as I am a horror freak, Im a huge nerd too.

I never could get into Dr. Who. My son is a huge fan of the current one.

Funny, I think that being a horror freak and being a nerd go hand in hand

I love Star Trek (movies), Star Wars, Matrix trilogy, LOTR trilogy, Hobbit trilogy, all of Tom Cruise's science-related movies, and I was fascinated with the tv show Numbers. I could go on and on regarding the nerd-related stuff. I am also married to one and my son is one too

I was just about to type the same thing about being a nerd and loving horror movies going hand-in-hand.

We went to the Dallas Fan Expo (mini comic con, the big one is in May) last weekend. Both of my boys and my wife are nerds too. Its amazing the quality horror stuff you can find at a good Con. If you get a chance check out the Art prints I picked up, I posted them on the art portion of the forum. Not to mention there where two Doctors there.

There are exceptions but in general I don't like sci-fi, fantasy, superhero, comic book stuff.
So I think I'm more of general movie freak.

Minus about 3/4 of movies if you take out the above genres... Lol.
