The Dark Tower

Anyone want to talk about the new one? Or the entire series for that matter?

The Dark Tower books are the greatest books ever written. I recently re-read all 6 books, and am anxiously awaiting the 7th and final book. King has created a vast and unique world in it's feel and language. The story is also DEEP which I like in a story.

They are great books. Sometimes it feels like every book I read (not just King's stuff) is just happening on another level of the tower somewhere.

:)

Totally agree. For a good book on how all of Stephen King's books are intertwined and how they all tie in to the Dark Tower series, check out The Stephen King Universe. The intricate web that he has woven is unprecedented.

I like the way he intertwined the books as well.
My only problem with The Dark Tower series is that some people that I know couldnt see the ending of DT7 coming and were disappointed.
I personally liked that it ended where it began.

I thought all the books were good, except that King got progressively more longwinded with each installment. Mixed feelings about his casting himself as one of the characters.

I agree I was a little put off about him becoming a character. It was pretty cheesy him acting like he is Clive Cussler
