I have two, one wrapped one not (couldn't pass one up for $17.99 on sale at CC...).

Isn't the hellicopter chop top scene missing in the short version?

The helicopter scene isn't present in the Argento cut, nor is a lot of the violence from the original version. There is however lots more dialogue and Goblin music.

Incidentally, the alternative ending for Dawn of the Dead apparently had Peter go through with shooting himself and Fran committing suicide in the helicopter blades. This was decided simply too downbeat, and was probably a wise move - it is difficult to comprehend such a dejecting finale to this film, in spite of what had gone before in Night of the Living Dead.

Well, actually that's not really important...the important thing is that they learned that wanting the mall was "bad." So it's a happy ending primarily because a couple of them got away from the place.

They do live in Zombie World, and you know, based on how things were in Day of the Dead, that zombies killed almost everybody, and probably them too....as nice as they were.
