remade by W Friedkin as 'Sorceror' if you want your horror connection.

Its about a south american oil well catching fire .. the only way to put it out is to blow it up.
The film begins with different people from all over the world - and how they ended up in south america ...
There will eventually be people selected to take unstable nytro across the rugged terrain of south america to the oil well fire - for a large sum of money and a shot at a new life.

I think its a great film - horror or not.
(i havent seen the origional one though)

sorry, my a bility to read minds shuts down after 10:00pm ..

(most of the people here wouldnt have heard of it)

I taped the origional some time ago and cant find the damn thing .. its buried in a ton of unlabeled VHS tapes.

I'm now assuming you have seen the Freidkin version ..

How do they measure up ?

I'm a big fan of Roy Sheider's work so I dont want to assume the origional was better .. (but it probably is)
