Hammer House of Horror

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammer_House_of_Horror

This was a British TV anthology series that only lasted 13 episodes. It was also shown in the US, though I can't remember what network aired it. Produced in 1980.

I remember thinking it was pretty strong stuff for 198l0 television. My strongest memory is of the episode "The Housed That Bled to Death," because there was indeed, lots of blood. Peter Cushing appeared in one episode.

Anyone else remember this show?

Loved it, some really good episodes... I'm guessing it has had a little more air time over here through the years than out there. I probably first saw it in the late 80s as a child.

Loved this show, I always remember the Werewolf episode with Diana Dors scaring the crap out of me as a youngster!
The Peter Cushing episode is actually a pre cursor to the likes of saw and Hostel in a way....
Guardian of the abyss and the creepy doppelganger episode (The name escapes me) were two other standouts for me.
Anybody catch any of the other Hammer series? Mystery and suspense I think??

I don't think, I've ever seen this show..although it does sound interesting...does the story line go along the lines of Tales From The Crypt or Tales From the Darkside??? If it does, I will enjoy!

If by that you mean was it an anthology series, yes it was. No host though. Just a different story every week.
