Da 5 Bloods was a gripping tale about comraderie and betrayal, about spite and forgiveness (and love), about how war can scar people for the rest of their life and how it can create bonds for life. Not just between the soldiers.
While on a surface level, it may be not all that easy to sympathise with the somewhat brass Paul, he turns out to be one of the most layered and complex characters I have seen in a while. Once you look past his episodes where he lashes out, you can see a man who's deeply hurt.
Well worth seeing.
