KingKong

I have always been a fan of KingKong and I have seen all but 2 of KingKong movies. The 1st KingKong movie was made in 1933 by RKO. The 2nd Kong movie was made in 1938 and it is a very old and almost unknown movie. The title is KingKong appears on Edo. Edo is an island and this 1938 Kong movie was made in Japan. What makes this movie intersting is that it is the 1s giant monster movie to use suitmation a.k.a. Man in suit movie. Suit maker Toshinori Ohashi a.k.a.actor Sanshiro Sagara. Toshinori is considerd the father of Japanese suitmaking. Toshinoris friend Teizo Toshimitsu who designed the Godzilla suit years later in 1954 helped Ohashi make his Kong suit. Sanshiro sagara wore the Kong suit he designed in the 1938 movie this would not happen again until 1976 when Rick Baker would wear the KingKong suit he designed for the 1976 Kong movie. The 3rd Kong movie was also made in Japan produced by Toho studios titled KingKong vs. Godzilla 1962 then Toho made KingKong Escapes 1967. Then the remake of KingKong in 76 and its sequel KingKong Lives in 86. Thats the list of all KingKong movies except for KingKong 2005 being directed by Peter Jackson life long Kong fan himself. I did not mention Son of Kong because it is not KingKong. Years KIng Kong movies were made
1933 USA RKO
1938 Japan
1962 Japan Toho
1967 Japan Toho
1976
1986
2005
The 2 KingKong movies I have not seen are 1938 KingKong Appears on Edo and KingKong 2005 because it has not been released yet. I plan on seen it.

King Kong Appears On Edo

Okay, Goji, you done surprised me! "King Kong Appears On Edo," huh? 1938???????????

Well, I checked it out, and though it looks like no one now living has seen it, the film does appear to be real.

That's totally amazing. Absolutely jaw-droppingly amazing.

If you have any stills from this film, or anything, please post 'em, I'm sure a lot of people would like to see 'em.

Hi Filmmaker pics from KingKong Appears on Edo are just about impossible to locate. The people who know about the movie and who made it etc. are your best sources for info about that very rare almost forgotten movie. Which is infact the 2nd movie about Kingkong. If I can find something I will let you know.
