[The Villain]

1 - Do you remember when you first watched it? Theater, VHS or DVD?
It was at home with my Dad. He just randomly put it on one day which i thought was weird since he doesnt like horror movies.

2 - Did you get any feedback (from friends or media) prior to watching it?
I had heard a lot about it especially about the ending

3 - How was your first viewing experience? Did you see the twist coming?
I loved it and i actually guessed wrong about the ending.

4 - How many times have you rewatched it since?
Many times.

5 - Any special memories associated with it, that you wish to share?
For some reason this movie always sticks with me, maybe because of the age i was when i watched it or that i watched it with my Dad but i still always remember it fondly and is one of my favorite horror movies.

I managed fortunately to see Scream in the cinema's when it was released with a schoolmate bunking off school. I remember what a joy it was because I must have been 15 or 16 when I saw so I'd seen enough horror films at the time to get it and me and my mate absolutely adored the opening sequence. As much as I love it I find it more of it's time and it's something I would watch only for nostalgic purposes now-I doubt I'd really enjoy it enough to revisit it too often though.

1. Watched it on VHS. It was a present for a relative that wanted to see it for some reason. They didn't seem to be the horror type either.

2. Nope. I wasn't watching that many horror movies around the release of Scream. I think I heard it in passing but I knew nothing of the story.

3. I thought it was great. How it broke down the horror rules was new to me. It had cameos and nods to horror films. Freddy in the school with the sweater. And I didn't see the twist at all.

4. Tons of times. I watch it when it's on demand a lot.

5. No special memories really, other than the "I'll be right back" line. It's crazy how much that line is used in horror movies.

On TV, a late night Creature Feature showing. It was creepy as hell. Still one of the best endings ever... and the reason why the remake falls short. The ending on the remake removes all ambiguity, and without that doubt, it doesn't have the creepy factor of the original.

Oh! I've never seen this version. I thought the one from the 70s was the original. I'll have to add this to my list. I've only seen the 70s version twice. Once when I was young. It freaked me out. Again a few years ago. It was still disturbing.

1. I remember it because I was around the age of 9 and I rented it from Movie Time on VHS.

2. I did my grandma had shown me a lot of 1950s horror that she loved. When I told my dad I liked it. He suggested Psycho because it was his first horror movie.

3. The viewing experience was great. I know a lot of people my age that don't appreciate films just because they are Black & White, but because of being introduced to them I love them. I thought it was scary and awesome.

4. I have watched it about five more times after that initial experience.

5. I was really susceptible as a kid to being fearful and yet I loved horror, go figure. I was more wary when I took a shower. That lasted for a little bit.

Some others that were listed:

Scream 1996:

1. I first watched it when I was 11. I again rented it at Movie Time on VHS. (I miss that in a way)

2. I had no prior suggestions to watch it. I had already seen Nightmare of Elm Street and knew of Wes Craven. The cover and description intrigued me when I was browsing the video store.

3. My experience was good. I had a better one when I re watched it the second time with my cousins and we were home alone in a dark living room with a lot of windows. We really freaked each other out.

4. I have watched it more than 7 times since then.

5. It embraced my love of the genre because it was aware of the genre in itself. Loved that concept.

Halloween:

1. I was around 7 when I first watched it on TV during Halloween.

2. I had heard about it and always had a tradition of watching horror movies on Halloween even before I really got into them. I was young so watching them on TV meant that they were more censored to my parents. They watched them with me and I loved that thrill of being scared.

3. My experience was great because it was actually on Halloween night after I went trick or treating so that made it so much better.

4. I have seen it every Halloween since then.

5. It was really the first slasher movie I had ever seen, and I really did not even know it at that time. I just found it scary each Halloween. The music was very memorable and built so much suspense.

Poltergeist:

1. Watched it on TV during around 6 or 7.

2. Both my parents had seen it in the 80s so they told me I should watch it.

3. I had a good experience because I watched it alone, makes it creepier.

4.I have watched i more than five times.

5. I really found it scary, especially the clown part. I though the concept was great too when I watched it as I got older.

Jaws:

1. Watched it on TV with my dad when I was 6 or 7.

2. Its one of my dad's favorites.

3. The experience was cool because I was watching it with my dad. We liked the same movies.

4. I have seen it a lot and I don't know how much.

5. I liked it a lot. Dun duh dun duh dun duh I can hear every time.

The Omen:

1. I think I was 12 or 13 and I saw it on TV.

2. I knew my parents had seen it.

3. I found the experience to be enjoyable.

4. I have watched it a few more times.

5. I really liked it. I thought it was a creepy film. " Look at me Damien, It's all for you!" is the creepiest part to me.
