Lucky

i'm Lucky.
was just gonna rape this site for a quick response, but it was so quick and polite that i think i'll stick around a bit.
i like all cinema, but am particularly fond of horror films. i know zombies are the fad now, but honestly the first 'horror' film i saw was Vampire Hunter D when i was seven. Totally an anime and prolly discounted by the horror community, but that shit scarred me for life.
not in a bad way, imo.
as stated above, i'm a fan of all genres so i don't mind when horror whores around into romance or comedy or politics. as long as there are zombies... or some blood... or at least some mystery as the wtfs goin on, i'm good.
i prefer romero zombies. i'm not into the 'new' vampire ideas (though i did enjoy 'being human(TV)'). Best werewolves ever were the original The Howling (and yeah, the sequels sucked, but i DID like the new one), Waxwork and Em-Effing DOG SOLDIERS. as far as thriller/uneasiness, the new version of I Spit on Your Grave kinda made me sick. the idea of being helpless is probably what scares me most (i'm a dude, so don't try to e-fuck me), so that film really struck a chord. the original was balls. sorry, but it was balls. as far as psycho movies... i never really felt them, but i guess my favorite would be Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

irl i work for a major retailer on third shift. i'm a non-recovering alchoholic. i partake sometimes. i smoke. i'm having trouble adjusting to the idea that i'm not a kid anymore. i may be emotionally disturbed. i'm opinionated, but i'm a pretty nice guy.

nice to meet you blood-gummed, freakshow necrophagists.

You seem like a cool cat! Stick around! Nobody will flip you shit around here, this is a very relaxed community with(as you have already witnessed) some incredibly knowledgeable members. Its insane how vague a description a person can give of a movie and WAMMO!, someone can tell you what it is. A few months back I gave a vague description of The Keep and someone had the answer fast! It had bugged me for 20+ years, seriously, it was awesome that it happened to be on netflix too.

ha, that's crazy mang. i had just seen it 'recently' au cause de netflix. i was half asleep, hundy drunk and pretty high, but i remember staying up through the whole movie and finishing it was a feeling of satisfaction (so i loved it); unfortunately i couldn't recall what i had watched that night among other films. for a while it was no big. plently of new shit on the nfx iq to check. but recently it's been stale. can only stand those foreign horror films for so long before i want my 'classics' back. lo and behold, my saviour is here, at horror.com, helping me rediscover my past loves. thank you. and thanks to the community.
