My version is based on the 1995 remastering using color tinted negatives. I'm not sure but I think your version has both the color toned and B/W negatives. I have an all region disc player, and really should buy a copy of the version you have. I really enjoy the film, and got in some pretty good arguments in film class about it.

One thing is for sure, none of the re-masterings are based on the orginal German negatives!

Wow, very cool, thanks guys... I'll definitely check out those out! Movieman, I've seen the one you have at the store I go to....

Yes, Kino! Now, you can actually see "Metropolis"! (those "missing-story" intertitles can be a little strange, but other versions are nigh-unwatchable)

Favorite classic horror movies: Frankenstein (1931), Bride of Frankenstein(1935), The Wolfman(1941).
Boris Karloff as Frankenstein and Lon Chaney jr. as The Wolfman.

One film I have always wanted to see is 'London After Midnight'. Never heard of it ? No surprise. All the copies were burned up in a fire in 1963 at MGM Studios. It was going to become public domain in 2001, but they extended the dead line 17 years just to be sure anyone who could remotely have a copy of it would be dead by then and could not release it onto DVD then since it is truly a "lost classic" starring Lon Chaney and directed by Todd Browning ('Dracula', 'Freaks'). Still not ringing any bells ? Maybe you've seen this guy before from it:

I've got dibs on remaking it then so don't even think it ! LOL

Recently on Turner Classics they played a version of "LOndon After Midnight" but all it consisted of was a series of still photos set to music with dialog cards that moved the story along. It will probably be the only way were ever going to see this film.
