Please help, this foreign film title eludes me!

As a child, I was somehow able to see many horror films through shows like Creature Double Feature. There's one film I cannot seem to locate at all.I remember scenes, images and impressions from the film, but neither actors nor a name. I'm going crazy! Please help!

I believe the film is foreign - Italian, Spanish maybe. Likely dubbed.
Wardrobe is current for the time of the film - late 60's, maybe early 70's.

I believe the opening scene takes place on the grounds of a castle - in winter.
There are children playing in a wooded area. Hide and seek or tag. If there are adults, they are not paying attention. Camera POV becomes that of some kind of predator, stalking one of the children. When the child goes off to hide, he is attacked. The attack is shot from the predator's POV. There is blood splatter on the child's face and screaming. It's not gory beyond that. People rush to save the child. The predator gets away unseen. (I think)

There seems to be a family living in the castle. I think everyone there is young. Sisters and brothers, teens-early 20s. One or more of them have recently come back to the home. I think there is some incestuous behavior going on.

There are 2-3 scenes shot in some kind of weird walled-in grave area - freshly dug earth. There are two caretaker types there. At one point, one is handling bones. At another point either one of the caretakers or someone else gets locked in the area and is killed by the predator.

The castle seems haunted - or one of the young males seems haunted by something there.

There's a final scene where the predator is being hunted by everyone. There's a confrontation on a road in a graveyard, and shots are fired by either police or townspeople. I think we see the predator is some kind of monster and one of the young males from the castle recognizes it as being his sister or other close family member. He is devastated.

That's all I know. I would be so grateful for the title of this film!

Wish I could help you. Sounds like a good film.

The Gate?

If not, could it be a Dario Argento movie? I haven't seem them all but his work is distinctly European, his camera is noted for it's roving/preying antagonists POV style and, finally, violence towards children is a recurring theme of his work.
