Creepy 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' Fan Film Delves Into the Early Years of Freddy Krueger

Freddy's origins were delved into throughout the original franchise, and even in the premiere episode of Freddy's Nightmares as well as the 2010 remake, but the full story of Fred's days as the so-called Springwood Slasher has never been told.

Filmmaker Chris R. Notarile feels the same way, and he just released the latest in a string of Freddy fan films that he's made over the years, which gives us a small glimpse into the potential creepiness of a film that explores Freddy's early days, as a child killer. Krueger: A Walk Through Elm Street is only six minutes long but is nevertheless more interesting and frightening than anything seen in the dull remake.
