I hated it during the first book too, actually. Bored the hell out of me. Now I have a slightly higher attention span so I can get through the books and actually enjoy them.

I hate, hate, hate the movies though. Those poor child actors are going to be stuck as Hogwarts students forever.... not that their acting was great to begin with.

The first book is has been sitting on my daughter's book shelf for 2 years now, I can't WAIT till she gets interested.
It shouldn't be long now:) ... we have just watched all 4 (soon to be 5) movies.

I actually enjoy the books and the movies. When the books first came out, I didn't even give them a chance......then, I was on vacation and I was so bored that I picked up my little sister's copy and started reading. I finished it in one sitting, and reached for the next book. By the time I was done with book three....I was a fan.

Oh good it's not just me who thinks most of them suck. I don't mind Rupert Grint though (plays Ron) I think he's good and defiantly the better one out of the hogwarts students.

could be trusted? I knew all along and it actually caused a heated debate with a couple of my online friends (before DH came out) who reckoned he was evil.
Dumbledore trusted him......therefore, I knew he was one of the good guys!
What a wizard he was! <sigh>

Spoiler Alert

I know that about Snape, but I was pretty unhappy about the twin that died.I thought that they would have had a great time with the missing ear thing. It was kinda predictable with the ending, the only thing that kept me guessing was who was dead and who was next. My BF still has not read it. But he read all the hype and rumors so he guesses every once in a while.
