Burn after Reading

Great idea to follow up No Country For Old Men with a comedy. Definatley not the funiest movie they have ever made, but it was very entertaining.

7/10

Tarantula (1955)

I'm really getting into these old school sci-fi flicks...I've always liked them, but haven't really watched many until recently.

This one's a little overlong, and John Agar is a dirtbag, but the effects were super cool and the plot had a little bit of everything. Not one of my favourites, but I enjoyed it for sure.

Saw III + IV

Hopefully going to see the new one this week, so I wanted to refresh myself.

Throughly enjoyed both of 'em this time around - IV makes a hell of a lot more sense when you watch it with III still fresh in your mind.

I don't care what anyone says: these are easily some of the best horror flicks to come along in modern times, and I really hope that #5 carries on the quality.

Over the weekend....

Otis ~ for the most part, entertaining as hell, though not for everyone. And I liked the soundtrack.

P2 ~ surprisingly enough, I LIKED this movie. I wasn't expecting that much, and yes, this kind of thing has been done to death.....but it was done well, I thought. Though I still don't find Wes Bentley all that frightening....

Day of the Dead (remake) ~ I really shouldn't have bothered.....

Diary of the Dead ~ just so disappointing. The characters annoyed the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure I would knocked that guy out with his own camera......:p And I found it to be a bit heavy-handed.

Was pleasantly surprised to see Midnight Meat Train on Fear Net so I immediately watched it. Loved it, too. Fuck Lionsgate for screwing over Barker. I would've loved to see this in the theatre.

B+, maybe even an A-.

Kwaiden is brilliant in my opinion, one of my favorites to watch around Halloween.

Return, If you thought Tarantula was ok you MIGHT want to check out The Spiders by Fritz Lang... damn cool film.
