Dc Or Marvel.

Hey I was wondering which comics they like more dc or marvel.I used to like marvel more but now I'm not sure so which one do you like the most and why?

Well, DC has the Vertigo line, so there's really no contest there for me.

I was gonna say Marvel no question, but you make a good point. Preacher is the best comic ever, so I'll say DC as well, but if this is limited to super-hero comics, then Marvel all the way. The Sin City books are pretty damn cool too, but that's Dark Horse.

marvel ..

i thought they were the first to 'grow up' and interest the college crowd while DC was still pandering to young children.

I'm basing my opinion on years gone by because i stopped collecting/reading comics about 15 years ago.

nothing could beat spiderman for a hero you could identify with - something no one else did to that point.

(years later DC came up with Firestorm which was the closest thing to spiderman at that time.

i know DC got a lot darker later ... but i still prefer Marvel from my past reading experience.

Yeah - I think that offshoot companies like Vertigo should be treated as stand-alone entities.

When we're looking at the bottom-floor level Marvel and DC, it's gotta be Marvel all the way. DC doesn't even come close.
