The Ghost Train has existed in play form for decades before the above Arthur ASkey version. It is probably the first example of a Scoobie Doo movie where the ghost proves to be a criminal faking supernatural activity.

Cool

A few more horror comedies from the 1930s and 1940s are "King Of The Zombies," "Revenge Of The Zombies," "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein," Abbot and Costello Meet The Mummy," "Abbot and Costello Meet The Invisible Man," and "Abbot and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!"
