The Walking Dead is being shown here on the 21st October on the FX channel i think.

I loved the first series but with one complaint, not enough zombie action.Too much on character development i though, but what we horror buffs want is some zombie stuff, not love relationships and squabbling folk, get some blood flowing and let the bullets fly, that's what i want.

IMO what made the series so good is exactly what you didn't like. In order to sustain a story you need more than constant death and destruction. You have to have somebody to care about and root for.

Well, if you possess a normal set of human emotions you do, anyway.

Walking Dead shows on AMC, BTW, not FX.

I agree with NE. I don't want constant death and destruction, I also want a story behind it. I somehow missed out on the first season - I think I was working in CT - but started watching it on Netflix. Watched the first episode yesterday. I hope to catch up on all of them this week, before the premiere on Sunday.
