I like a lot of the stuff you guys have mentioned.

Mainly punk bands (US and UK). Mainstream like Green Day etc then heavier stuff like distillers and the dropkick murphys. Also like ska like one of my fave bands Less Than Jake and there's a good UK ska band called Spunge.

My fave band at the mo (Which you should all check out) is

HUNDRED REASONS

Think some of you may like these. I know you can download some of their songs on the website.

But probably the only real band that I keep goin back to is RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. Fuckin ace. Brilliant technical guitar work. Thats really what got me interested in music.

No, he's cool as fuck. But god damn his music is nuts!

This is coming from a person who loves Sonic Youth and Lou Reed. Zappa's music is too crazy for me

if you think he's nuts, try some Captain Beefheart on for size ...

there's a lot of Zappa thats more melodic and accessable .. but his jazzier orchestrated pieces - he was a mad genius for sure..

Amusing anecdote:
Zappa's Jazz From Hell album was a target for Tipper Gore's PMRC bannings.

Jazz From Hell is an instrumental album.
