Just watched MANIAC this morning!

Incredibly grim and not entirely coherent, but Spinnel is really good here, showing the hellish world of a psycho. Kudos must also be given for the pacing and acting in the scene involving the Nurse...she is extremely convincing.
Savini's FX...'nuff said. ***

THE HEARSE 1980

A woman (Trish Van Devere and her butterscotch voice) moves into an inherited house and is terrorized by an antique hearse.

Well, I went into it thinking it was something else. It was tame, predictable but that being said, I watched the whole thing and didn't mind it.

THE GODSEND 1980

A couple out for a walk with their four children befriend a strange pregnant woman who immediately latches herself to them. She ends up, that very day, giving birth to a little girl whom she then abandons.

They care for the baby as one of their own....but then their own start dying.

Beautifully British and leaves you feeling rather skeptical at times but a lovely watch.
