Once again, THE HILARIOUS HOUSE OF FRIGHTENSTEIN rears its ugly head! There will be a Frightenstein convention in Toronto on May 14, 2005. Details can be gotten here (along with a whole lot of other stuff):

Ah, alas, I live a little too far away to go. But I thought some of the Canadians here might enjoy such a thing. (This TV show was, like, from the early 70's, and I imagine a lot of people here either wouldn't remember it--but--it was a cool show. Really.)

It's getting dark, the lights are dim...

I remember! (I'm 34.) My dog is even named Grizelda! And I have tickets to this event! So I will post pics, if I remember! I didn't think many people remembered the show, either, but just the other day, I mentioned that I was going to this, to a 21 year old friend, and she said she remembered seeing the show when she was about 5! So you never know. Also, the guy who's putting on the event has a site, http://frightenstein.ca with all the pertinent information. (It's not the same as frightenstein.com!)

Yes yes that's right. Technically the show is not only known by Certified Old People. The show went into reruns here and there in the 80's I'm told, but I don't think I saw it in Los Angeles after the early 80's. Hope all you lucky Canuck folks who get to go enjoy their vampire behinds off...have a blood-red beer for me! Blah!
