gritty movie recs

Not really sure if this is the right definition, but how about some movies recs on the lines of:
Kalifornia/Natural Born Killers
American History X
Children of Men
Clockwork Orange
Memento
Requiem for a Dream
Reservoir Dogs
Taxi Driver
Scarface
Se7en
Traffic
The Way of the Gun
Like i said, not sure if "gritty" is the right adjective, but am looking for some movies along the lines of the above. Definitely not "happy happy joy joy movies." Ashe.

Just watched Killshot and if you liked Reservoir Dogs then I recomend it highly, very gritty and not at all feel good.
Butterfly Effect, the first is the best but 2 and 3 are also pretty good, fairly depressing, movies.
Irriversible, very dark and depressing movie, takes gritty to a whole new level.
Frontiers, like Irreversible, extremely gritty movie.
Haute Tension, bleak and depressing.

If you haven't looked at this list yet, then do so. It covers this type of thing:

Thanks for the recs. i also loved irreversible, anything Cohen Brothers, and Haute Tension, as well as the Butterfly Effect. Eraserhead sorta turned me off to other Lynch flicks, but maybe i will give Blue Velvet a try. I will definitely give Killshot, RomperStomper, and Frontiers a look. Thanks and keep 'em coming if ya got 'em.
