LATE DEADLINE - Lone Star Film Festival

The Call for Entries for the 8th Annual Lone Star Film Festival (LSFF) in Sundance Square is now open. The LSFF was recently included as one of the Top 25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee by MovieMaker Magazine for the second consecutive year (2013 and 2014). The festival will run Nov. 6-9, 2014. In 2013, our festival featured a world-class lineup, as well as the groundbreaking success of the B1ST FilmForward program that focuses on distribution mentorship for feature competition filmmakers.

You can submit your film to the Lone Star Film Festival through WithoutABox by clicking on the "Submit" tab at www.lonestarfilmfestival.com. Please read the rules and regulations carefully. The deadlines are as follows:

June 14th - Regular Deadline
August 16th - Late Deadline
August 30th - WAB Extended Deadline

Each November thousands of North Texas film-lovers flock to Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth for their first, and sometimes only, opportunity to see films such as THE ARTIST, THE DESCENDANTS, THE TURIN HORSE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN ANATOLIA, SHAME, BULLY, UNDEFEATED, 12 O'CLOCK BOYS, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, HYDE PARK ON HUDSON, QUARTET, A ROYAL AFFAIR, IT'S A DISASTER, LEVIATHAN, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, NEBRASKA, PHILOMENA, and THE BOOK THIEF. Attendees also look forward to interacting with industry luminaries like Robert Duvall, John Hawkes, T Bone Burnett, Elizabeth Avellan, Ted Hope, Jeff Bridges, Callie Khouri, Melonie Diaz, Albert S. Ruddy, Robert Rodriguez and Billy Bob Thornton, among many others.

Fort Worth is the 17th largest city in the nation, and the Fort Worth/Dallas metroplex consistently ranks among the top five media markets in the U.S. The LSFF benefits from powerful media partners, including CBS Television, CBS Radio, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Fort Worth, Texas: The City's Magazine. These outlets enable information about festival films to reach more than 1.5 million people throughout Dallas and Fort Worth. Festival audiences include a sophisticated, influential community that also supports other cultural institutions like the Modern and Kimbell Art museums of Fort Worth, as well as Bass Performance Hall. Altogether, the world renowned cultural community of Fort Worth attracts more than 1.5 million visitors each year, and people often refer to Fort Worth as the Museum Capitol of the Southwest.
