Mouse-Head

It's intriguing to note how horror-fiction/art can reflect the American interest in noir-heroism presented in graphic underworld media like Spawn (Image Comics), which makes you wonder if modern horror stories can be more about dystopian resilience! Enjoy,

Isaac Satan called himself Mouse-Head. That is because despite the fact that he's a clever and resourceful masked American vigilante, tackling and chasing some of the weirdest super-criminals in the USA such as Leatherface (a chainsaw-wielding cannibal), Dollmaker (a fashion-model slayer), and Black Mask (a gang of policewomen rapists), Isaac Satan suffered the most horrible injuries to his own person in his crime-fighting crusade. He didn't lose any limbs or body parts or go insane, no, but he got slashed and cut in so many spots on his torso that he started to believe the only safe and sacred part of his body was his dear little head. So, he called himself Mouse-Head, since his head was a safe and cute as a little hiding mouse in his peaceful hole-in-the-wall!

Mouse-Head was a real colorful dude. He collected all kinds of toys and baseball cards and stickers of iconic TV cartoons like Jem, Bizarro, and Zoltar. Mouse-Head also liked neon toy phones, since they reminded him of the peculiarly of the modern cyber-matrix. Mouse-Head was nevertheless still vigilant about being a masked vigilante to pursue the worst super-villains in America, such as Leatherface and Black Mask. Mouse-Head (Isaac Satan) had become the real-life and more graphic rendition of comic book avatars like TinTin and Iceman. However, he maintained his overall humility regarding his vigilance crusade. Cops thought he was generally a positive influence or folk-celebrity and didn't liken him to troubling maniacs trying to take justice in their own hands!

MOUSE-HEAD: I like what I do, despite all the scars on my wounded torso!

If God likes vigilantes or American folk-tales about wild justice, then he'd appreciate the offbeat and surprising courage of our dear protagonist Mouse-Head (Isaac Satan). You might wonder if the likes of the eerie Mouse-Head can be likened to great folk characters from history like the Sundance Kid or Billy the Kid or Captain Kidd! Truth be told, what sets Mouse-Head apart is his magical ability to distract you from the reality of his dark crime-fighting resulting in serious injuries and wounds, dissuading youngsters from dangerously trying to copycat the valiant masked 'superhero' in the USA. Of course, Mouse-Head has his own storytelling renditions of what makes his totally scarred torso a symbol of pure American diaries.

MOUSE-HEAD: Americans can remember me as the man of 1000 dyes!
