Micheal J Fox (very good here) has ESP ability after wife dies in car accident. He has Ghosts haunt a House and leave his card so people will call to have him "Cleanse" the house; He is basically a Film-Flam man , a Bogus Ghostbuster. However, He starts seeing numbers in people's foreheads with them dying shortly thereafter and He may have to use his ability for more serious use.
Know it sounds like I'm cutting on the film, but it is really great with strong support from Trini Alvarado, Jeffrey Combs (RE-ANIMATOR; He is almost Norman Bates-ish , so twitchy, although his character is developed too much), R Lee Ermey (hilarious) and a wonderful Dee Wallace. My wife and I met her a few times at conventions in Pre-Covid days and She was impressed We bought a FRIGHTENERS photo instead ET, THE HOWLING or CUJO. ****

Just a different perspective... You know, I never liked Frighteners. Not a bad movie, it just got on my nerves.
Basically, I didn't think it was funny... so that pretty much sinks it for me, cause it was trying to funny the entire film. Found the humor very old, cartoony, stale, and contrived. The racing around town in the wacky CG way, I also found annoying. I think I only got through the whole movie because of Trini Alvarado's beauty.
