Like The Baby Driver, another average, time-passing heist flick with a good cast; Craig with Southern accent sounded kinda odd though.

RORCSHACH 2015

Two skeptics try and help a single mom debunk the strange things happening in her new home.
Well-done and pretty creepy but I was let down a bit at the ending.

Batman vs Superman (Dawn of Justice)

I'm going to be merciful and spare you the two hours and thirty one minutes that were forever taken from me, so take notes and pay attention!

Bruce has a flashback about his parents. AGAIN.

Scar is Batman's butler.

Lex Luthor has terrible hair and forgets he's Superman's nemesis and not one of Batman's crazies.

Wonder Woman makes me gayer

Superman sacrifices himself in a stupid ass move while Batman is standing about being useless and perfectly able of NOT dying while wielding a kryptonite spear. But despite the long ass build up with TWO DIFFERENT FUNERALS (did they cut him in half so both parties had something to bury??), it was apparently only a flesh wound.

I was planning on going to see Justice League on Sunday, but my plans are rapidly changing.

Funny stuff! I always thought if the film makers had the guts to make an 'alternate universe' film, where superman is a very strange, arrogant, cultish godlike thing (like he was in one of batman's dreams), and batman was just trying to save mankind from his rule... this might have been a great film. I mean heck, they could have even made this not the real superman. Instead, after all the prior superman films, this film was overly tread material again.

But of course, this was just a forerunner film for The Justice League film.

Don't Knock Twice -

I thought this was going to be good. I think I saw a trailer or just a poster some time ago. Perhaps I thought since Katee Sackhoff is in it, it would be good. But she's 0 for 2 for me with horror movies now. Maybe 0 for 3 with that Halloween movie but I haven't seen that yet. Don't Knock Twice starts off ok too. But then goes to some crazy places. And without spoiling it, the movie is a tease. It is like it knows it's a bad movie so it plays with obvious misdirection in the hopes that you will forget. A better movie wouldn't do something like that. It wouldn't continually show something to try to make you forget something else so that when the reveal happens at the end it's a surprise and shock. In Don't Knock Twice, I didn't care that much because of that poor attempt at misdirection and the stupid ending. It's a shame too because the setup and a few of the locations are good horror settings. And about 1/4 to close to halfway in, I was thinking this is going to be a movie I'll own. But nope.

Autopsy of Jane Doe -

I heard the name of this movie before but I guess I didn't think it would be a horror movie or at least a good horror movie. But I think someone here recommended it so I checked it out. And it's a good one. Like many good movies it's best to see this one blank and let the mystery unfold. It's an unsettling movie because the whole thing is set in the basement morgue of this cozy old country house. And even though we've seen autopsies in movies before, I don't think we've seen whole movies around autopsies. The only one I can remember right now is the doctor movie with Lola from Run Lola Run. She's cool and I might try and find that one again as I barely remember it. But if you haven't seen The Autopsy of Jane Doe check it out and don't spoil it for yourself. The movie is short and the reveal will be surprising. At least it was for me.

They don't have the guts to do that in a multi million dollar movie. I think they did do that with the recent Superman and some of the DC characters though. Of course it probably wasn't planned, even though they will say it was, but that whole New 52 thing didn't go as well as they wanted it to.

Prison/crime/gangster flick. Same vein as Blood In Blood Out, American Me, American History X, etc. Really enjoyed it.

Going In Style (2017)
6/10

Elderly Morgan Freeman, Alan Arkin and Michael Caine lose their pensions, so they rob a bank. Three great actors, some mildly funny scenes, but felt a bit like going through the motions here. Nothing particularly exciting, original, inciting or heart tugging.

With JL, WB have started to think little more 'wisely', I guess. Cause as a movie, it's got plenty of flaws, poor editing, bad cgi, very weak plot structure and a poorly done villain with one dimensional character who was so weak that even though they used such tagline as "YOU CAN'T SAVE THE WORLD ALONE" but literary in the movie he was so douchebag of a villain that even Superman alone could have beat him single handedly within a minute if he wanted to or got the chance. Despite having several issues or problems like that the movie still somehow turned out as a fun & entertaining watch as they clearly decided to treat it lightly by kicking out Snyder for good and assigned Whedon to turned it at least a barely enjoyable ride for the moviegoers. Though not even close to WW's shadow but at least an improvement over stupid ass earlier films like BvS, Suicide Squad and that chaotic mess of MOS.

Little minor spoilers for JL that I'm sure won't ruin your fun while you'll going to see JL:

Snyder's 2 consecutive movies got this strange obsession for 'mother'...in BvS, Batsy stopped killing Sup when he came to know both of their mother's name is same & Sup's mother is in danger, asking for his help (as he almost beat the crap out of him) and in JL, Steppenwolf was running after the mother boxes crying out "Oh Mother! Oh Mother!" throughout the movie
