Horror Movie Recommendations?

So I love scary movies, but they're always very hit or miss for me, and I was hoping I could get some recommendations based on movies I've liked/disliked. I don't usually like spirit/ghost/poltergeist movies (a few exceptions). I usually like found footage movies (apparently), and clever movies that leave me thinking.
Thanks for any input!
Movies I liked:
Rec
The Descent
V/H/S
Cube
It Follows
Cabin In The Woods
Paranormal Activity
The Den

Movies I disliked:
Babadook
Hostel
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

The Last Exorcism is one I'd definitely recommend. Very underrated movie!

It seems that every movie mentioned on this thread was made in the 00`s.For true horror you need to look before that. The 70`s and 80` where my highlights for the genre.

Don't fall into the trap that all good horror is modern,it isn't.

Well, if you wanna go old school and if you liked Cabin In The Woods then I would recommend you check out the original Evil Dead and it's sequels.

The Original is an absolute classic. Evil Dead 2 is about as good a sequel as you can get and the third one was decent although it's more comedy than horror.
