No tricks - it's opening weekend for Halloween treats at the big theme parks.

Universal Studios' 13th annual Halloween Horror Nights started tonight and continues on selected nights until November 1. To celebrate the 13th year of the event, each maze will have 13th scenes and characters will wander around bearing the number 13 on their costumes. There's an All-Nite Drive-In featuring classic horror movies, a carnival of terror, and "Scream House Revisited". This year, Universal has added Infestation - where, for an extra $5, guests are trapped in a box with snakes, roaches, and rats.

For young kids and those faint of heart, Disney's family-friendly holiday offering (titled "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party") also started tonight. Events include trick-or-treating, fireworks, late-night rides, and the Headless Horseman.

Sea World's family-focused "Halloween Spooktacular" will run for two weekends only - October 18-19, and 25-26. Guests can enjoy spiders, cockroaches and more at the Creepy Adventures Show, as well as a haunted house, costume contest, and kid's costume parade.
