Jason Tops Freddy in New Line Prop Auction

While the "Freddy vs. Jason" movie fell out of the number one spot on the top grossing movies list this week, the two slashers are still going strong on the web. On September 2nd, two major prop auctions for items used in the filming of movie closed at the New Line website. In this high bidding competition, Jason was declared the winner by nearly $1000.

The two biggest items from the Freddy vs. Jason prop auction were:

In the Red (striped) Corner:

Freddy's Signature Outfit
"Package includes trademark tattered red and green striped knit sweater that is scarily soft as well as gray pants dirtied from his latest evil antics. Big black army boots perfect for stomping are also included."

And from Crystal Lake:

Jason's Hockey Mask
"This weathered beat-up hockey mask looks like it's been to hell and back...used extensively in the production of Freddy vs. Jason."

When the final bell rang, Freddy's Outfit closed at $6001, while Jason's Mask reached $6903.

Interestingly, both items were won by a big spending ($12904) bidder calling himself "Wolfman Jack".
