According to the freaky folks at Creature Corner, Julian Sands is set to play a murdering "werewolf" in the Fantastic Factory film "Romasanta". The film is based on the true story of a 19th century Spanish traveling salesman convicted of killing 13 people and using their body fat to make soap. Manuel Romasanta avoided the death penalty by claiming he was a werewolf. Told from the point of view of a surviving victim, played by Elsa Pataky ("Beyond Re-Animator"), the story follows the chaos created as the murderer divides public opinion even after his capture.

Spanish director Francisco Plaza is at the helm of "Romasanta". Film company Fantastic Factory is responsible for scary stuff like "Beyond Re-Animator", "Faust: Love of the Damned", and the creepy Italian "Darkness".

Julian may not always pick the best scripts, but at least he knows what to do with a good hunk of body fat.
