Terror comes to The Avery Schreiber Theatre on October 3, courtesy of "Dos Dark Delights". The event consists of two tales with elements of the macabre, of love lost (and found again?), both tinged with dark humor.

The evening opens with Peter Atkins' King of Outer Space. Atkins is best known as the screenwriter of three of the Hellraiser movies, one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful horror franchises. He created another film franchise for Executive Producer Wes Craven when he wrote Wishmaster. In 2001, Atkins adapted Wishmaster into a staged production called The Djinn, which was a part of EdgeFest that year. Atkins is also an acclaimed author and has published the novels Morningstar and Big Thunder. King of Outer Space is his own adaptation of his short story, which appeared in The Museum of Horrors, an anthology that won the prestigious World Fantasy Award.

The headliner of the evening will be L.T.'s Theory of Pets, Stephen King's short story adapted for the stage by Rick Lee. Stephen King's short story first appeared in mass publication in an anthology named Everything's Eventual.

Cast members include Rick Lee, Stacey L. Patrick, Lori Stone and Chris Wynne. This will be Lee's third consecutive EdgeFest production (he also appeared in 2001's The Djinn and 2002's La Gioconda), and Stone's second (2002's La Gioconda). La Gioconda went on to a very successful run and had an award-winning season, including being selected as LA Weekly's Production of the Year. Frank Baird will direct the show.

Dos Dark Delights is part of EdgeFest 2003. The show runs on Friday and Saturday nights from October 3 through November 8.  For more information, call visit the EdgeFest website.
