Screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis ("Birds of Prey", rewrite of "Scream 3") is putting the finishing touches on a screenplay based on Ray Bradbury's novel "Something Wicked This Way Comes".  Robert Zemeckis' Imagemovers will produce the film for Disney's Buena Vista Motion Pictures.

The novel centers on an evil circus that comes to a small town to prey on naive townfolk. The devious and mysterious Mr. Dark promises to make all of their dreams come true - at a price.

Ray Bradbury himself wrote a screenplay of the novel, which was released in 1983 under the same title. Bradbury's version (also released by Disney) starred Jonathan Pryce ("Brazil") as Mr. Dark, Diane Ladd ("Citizen Ruth") as Mrs. Nightshade, and Vidal Peterson ("The Thorn Birds") as young Will, Dark's nemesis.

Kalogridis has also been signed on to pen a live-action screenplay for DC Comics' "Wonder Woman". As of now, there's no word on the casting on "Wicked" or "Woman". More news will be posted here as it becomes available.
