I take it this is not your favorite film? Or am I reading this wrong....lol....:p

I thought one scene was really well done but overall I felt the movie was pretty generic.

It was better than House of the Dead.

Everything Troma's ever done is better than House of the Dead. House of the Dead sucked!!! One of the worst movies I've ever seen, period.

Wrong Turn was great for a newer horror flick. Compared to what we've been seeing get pumped out of the studios the past 5 years, Wrong Turn is starting to look more and more like a bright spot in the new millenium of horror to me.

In a time when we are getting countless remakes of both Japanese (Ring, Grudge, Dark Water) and American films (Amityville, TCM, DOTD) as well as waaaaay too many video game spinoffs (Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil, House of the Dead) and all-around crappy horror films (Boogeyman, Cursed), movies with any degree of originality are looking better and better to me.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of a small handful of movies that are as good, or better, than it that have come out in the last 5 years...

I thought it was ok at best, they tried enough but not to hard.

It was fine. I actually thinik it stacks up real nice next to the garbage put out recently. Didn't do anything that wasn't done in the 70's, but it should be applauded for at least doing a straight up horror flick.

The only problem I have is the characters jumping out of the watch tower and clutching branches to save them from plummeting to their death. What a bunch of horseshit. If you're falling from that hieght, there's no way you can grab and hold onto a tree branch.
