One of my many favorite Cronenberg films. The state of the art, deluxe high-rise where it all takes place is a grand place for some wicked doings. It helped the viewer feel trapped along with the building residents. And of course, Barbara Steele makes every thing she works on better.

Buio Omega, 1979 Eurotrash at its eurotrashiest. This one's demented and delicious. Thanks to DeadbeatAtDawn for the reminder. |
Silent Night, Bloody Night-1972. I enjoyed this very much.

CHEERLEADER CAMP 1988
A training camp for cheerleaders becomes the setting for death and some mayhem and also some bad dreams. |

It may not be as epic as Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, but it's full of cheesy fun. 8) |

Nah, you're a total charmer. It's not everyday I meet a kid ( no offense meant ) I want to adopt! LOL!
House of Whipcord. What a wild little ride. Sheila Keith is always insanely watchable in her roles, and this part is no exception. Damn, she can menace! |

As for if you haven't seen it and would like to, www.shudder.com is a great place. I believe they still offer a two week trial. :o |
The Legend of Hell House
Absolutely love the atmosphere. The ambient sounds and music sound much like some of my favorite Halloween sound tracks. The blood wasn't very good but the other effects used for scares were enjoyable and had me wondering if the place was really haunted at times. And Roddy McDowell was enjoyable as ever. I think this was one of my favorite of his characters. Quote:

Dune (1984)
6/10 Exquisite set/costume design and music. Very intriguing start to story, but shortly after reaching planet Dune, seems to haste to conclusion, becoming more drudging & confusing, or otherwise purposeless, as it proceeds. Sleepaway Camp (1983) 6/10 Some horribly simple dialogue, poor amateur acting and repetitive plodding scenes. Still, the two sibling leads carry the film with heart. Most of the revenge kills are imaginative & shot well; and has a gutsy twist ending. Urban Cowboy (1980) 6.5/10 Interesting and mildly engaging romantic relationship film. It's shot, paced & acted well. But in many ways, even the happy ending is rather bleak. |
House (1986)
Cheesy 80s horror comedy, kinda plays like a Disney movie. Billed as a haunted house flick, but really more of a creature feature, and a very rubbery one at that. I don't think I would ever watch it again (except maybe with my kids), but I can't fault it too much because it's actually pretty entertaining. Watched on Screambox. 7/10 Quote:
