"Sleepaway Camp".....enjoyable slasher.....had expected more gore but the shocking ending did it for me......

Legally Blonde 2. Seriously. It was my girlfriend's turn to pick.

I'm going to make her watch Evil Dead for payback. :D

as for the remake, I gave in and watched the trailer.

ShankS, where'd you find that trailor???

I mentioned it elsewhere but I'll also confess it here :o

Last night I watched Pauly Shore Is Dead - - - and it was utter and total shit. I had watched his new pseudo-reality tv show about him runnig some comedy bar and it was fairly funny. So, wife and I decided to rent the movie. God it was awful.

The only really funny bit is in the extras where there's a documentary thing about him screening the film for college students at some Cal State campus - the great part is that after the film is show and the lights come up almost 90% of the audience has left. A true testament to the film's merit.

RoLLiNLiGhTs 07-29-2005 01:17 PM

The Jacket....not too bad of a movie...

hellfire1 07-29-2005 03:20 PM

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

I bought this last weekend, but I was away this week and couldnt watch it. I just got back, and 1st thing I did was grab a coke, and plop onto the couch to watch Caligari, my 1st horror movie in over a week. And it was incredible. The sets were beyond eerie, and that ending just messed w/ my head. Amazing movie

Looks violent enough. The winner of 'Ichi vs Scatchi' takes on Jason.

The Last Broadcast
First time watching it. A rental.

Most people I know said the movie was horrible.

I think it could have been awesome. The problem was those guys don't know how to make a movie. All premise and no reward.

Cursed, Its about a girl that gets a curse put on her by this mask and every guy she has sex with vanishes into thin air after they ejaculate.

Last winter, I saw a fun little action flick with Samuel L. Jackson called Shaft. I didnt rent it expecting great preformances from anyone in the cast, and overall I was right, with the obvious exception of Jackson. I noticed a name that I recognized in the credits however: Christian Bale. Never having seen any of his films, I was confused as to why there was so much praise for him; at the time, to me he was just a run-of-the-mill actor. A few months later, I was attracted to The Machinist, mostly beacause of the director. After seeing that, my impression of Ble raised greatly, as he was incredible. Not long after, I saw Batman Begins, which put Bale firmly into my books as one of the greatest actors living.

Now, I just finished watching American Psycho. And it blew me away. Bale is doubtlessly one of the greaest actors of all time, and I will make a pint to see more of his films.

"Six String Samurai" - Okay, but too quirly and self indulgent for it's own good.

House of 1000 Corpses

It was OK. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed it.

Tat2 07-30-2005 11:38 PM

Constantine.

Movie was good. Not really horror but still had demons.

The DVD didn't have much in the way of extras though.
Deleted Scenes and Theatrical Trailer...thats it.

Shall We Dance

And surprisingly enough, despite the presence of the ever annoying Jennifer Lopez and the gorgeous but ever annoying Richard Gere ( I like a lot of movies he is in....but something about that guy bugs me)....I didn't hate it.

Hey, thanks for the recommend, I'll check it out. I didn't even know it was a remake.

And they do have it at Netflix, so I just added it to my queue. :D
