Haven't see this one in a while, forgot what a wonderful character study it is. I know there are a lot of people on this site who wouldn't like it as there is no blood and very little action, but the story is original and suspenseful.

Newb, Alky, Miss Olivia, StygianWitch, Urge - this one's for you.

Funny.....even though this movie came out when I was watching movies at my leisure [i.e. before all the kids came along ] I missed this one......I'll have to look for it.

See No Evil - mishmash review.

Nothing standout-ish plot wise. Reminded me a bit of SAW 2, the whole... gang of people trapped in a rundown house with traps and a grimm atmosphere. The direction was good; really nice shots. Gregory Dark CAN direct. The WWE tag probably killed the ratings for this film, because when I saw it the first thought in my mind was "Oh fuck.", and the budget-trailer (wtf at fullscreen only, even in theatres) only made things look equally bad. The movie isn't as terrible as these elements make it look. Kane isn't that great an actor, but he has a whole three sentances, and his appearence fills the part well enough for that to suffice. Would have been nice if the whole script was a bit tighter. Drawn more on the religious-side of things. The mother was a nutcase. Also noted that the killings happen quite fast and early - close together. I felt it hurt the pacing/excitement. Some are good. The final scenes are amazing, Jacub's fall. Nice chunk of the budget used there, a NICE chunk.

Saw2. I enjoyed it a lot. I did think the whole thing with Amanda was quite obvious from the beginning, and there weren't as many horrible deaths as there could have been, but the atmosphere was very dark. Nice nod to Silence of the Lambs when the cops were looking for the house.

History of Violence.
God, you gotta love the sheer violence of this film.
A few suspenseful moments, decent uncomplicated storyline which was almost refreshing, to have no "twist" for once.
Pretty good acting all around, Ed Harris is great as always...pity he couldn't have hung around a little later into the film.
I liked it, but I think maybe it was carried on about a little too much...probably say 7-10 to me.
A decent watch, definately worth a rent if you've yet to see it.
