I d give Equilibrium a C or at best B minus, not because of the movie itself, but cuz they tried to rip most of it straight from the Matrix, especially the fight sequences. The movie was enjoyable, but NOT original.

Watched a french movie called Anatomy of Hell tonite, in my continued series of watching offbeat flicks. Not sure if anyone has seen this one yet, but if you are planning to, then be ready for some graphic and explicit scenes. Reminded me of a softcore porn almost, but the story itself didnt make much sense, cept the fact that the entire movie was based on an undercurrent of assertion of dominancy. Watchable, but watch it when alone.

Videodrome. I went into it with high expectations, and I was SEVERELY disappointed. What a pile of shit.
What did you not like about it? I'm just a little curious, as I think very highly of this film (and indeed every film that Cronenberg has made.) Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to bash your opinion - different strokes, and all that. It's just that this film in particular is generally held in high regard.

Half Light

I thought it was pretty good. I figured it out pretty early in the movie, but I still enjoyed it. Even with not being a Demi Moore fan.

I m glad. Bruce has always been a very underrated actor...he d give most modern day actors a run for their money...sadly underused throughout his career though...maybe the tag of "Ash" was his five seconds of glory, and his Waterloo too...

I hated to see him as the ring announcer in "Spider-Man" (guest appearance cuz of his association with Sam Raimi I guess)...he deserved so much more than that...

the_real_linda 10-02-2006 08:49 AM

he'll always be asociated with sam and rob cuz of them always being friends and throught renaissance pictures they've got to work together a lot....i like that sam puts him in cameos like he does with ted...ted is the cuter of the two brothers i must say
