I thought it was solid, and much better than the shitty OG version.

Wow, you think?

To each their own I suppose, but what did you find so "shitty" about the original?

Y'all definitely need to go see this. Fantastic movie. The best theatrically released horror movie I've seen a long damn time. [/B]
um...no

Saw it last night and it was barely mediocre. The first 15 minutes were promising and R Lee Ermy always delivers, but there is NOTHING else going on here. And what little good there is in the film is completely obscured by shitty the-camera's-shaking-so-things must-be-scary style of directing. And the ending...

WHAT?

Completely stupid. Wait for DVD.

Better/worse/equal to the remake? How does it compare?

hitman3005 10-08-2006 07:17 PM

Worse! Roderick summed it all up nicely. I kept looking at the clock in the theatre to see how much longer i had to endure it. At least in the 2003 remake i cared somewhat for the characters. This one, i couldn't wait for them to die. Movie dragged on and on. Nothing creepy or suspenseful at all. Shaky camera did nothing for me. Shit! Nispel could've done a better job with this. But in reality, what were we expecting from the diretor of Darkness Falls.

Maybe it's because it was made before my time, but I thought the whole movie was corny and just cheap. Hated the ending, too.

I can't believe you choose this over "The Departed"......for shame Mr. Usher....for shame.

I, however, did choose The Departed tonight.

9.5/10

Spectacular movie, killer ending, great editing, Scorsese at his best.

Forrest Gump

Always enjoyable. Tom Hanks really is one of the best character actors in the world and this film proves it. I don't need to go on and on about this one because I'm sure most everyone's already seen it at least once.

I know, I know... it's Hallowen time, I'm weak. Forgive me. I'll go see it this week.

Loved Infernal Affairs so I'm fairly confident that I'll be loving The Departed.

Caught Whale Rider for the second time.

Stunning piece of story telling. Myth at it's very finest. 10/10

a rating I've never before posted.
