The Bros' finest film, IMO.

This a really marvelous film. It really touched me the first time I saw it. A really masterful performance from an aging Lionel Barrymore and Fredrick March as Death is wonderful.

Highly recommended.

Much difference between that version and Night?

A ton, actually. Night is the U.K.'s uncut release, which is nearly 15 minutes longer.

I've seen both, and Night is definately more fine-tuned, but no matter whihc version you see, it's a great film!

The Dark Eyes Of London.

Antym666 01-26-2007 06:09 AM

I saw Might Of The Living Dead for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I saw why it's considered to be a classic. What a shocking ending, too!

Antym666 01-26-2007 06:10 AM

I mean NIGHT Of The Living Dead! lol

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad

although now, after all these years...

I can not figure out what this movie is about! It's a crazy, fun movie. Beautiful to look at and very fast-moving. But the more I study the story, the more I realize that it doesn't appear to make any sense.........

Basically, why is the magician trying to use Sinbad to help him get the magic lamp, all through the picture? He has it in the beginning anyway, and he only loses it when he gets tangled up with Sinbad.

Planet of the Apes (1968)

The Haunting (1963) - I never get tired of this one. Fantastic.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1966)

Awesome, groovy flick that gave obvious inspiration to movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Devil's Rejects.

We agree again! I'm a huge Russd Meyer fan! Have you ever seen Mudhoney? That's my favorite of his films.

I've heard of it, and it was playing back-to-back with 'Pussycat', but I forgot to tape it! I was so angry with myself.

I'll hunt down a copy of it. If you like it, I know I will.

Really?? Harvey always fascinated me as a kid. That and Arsenic and Old Lace.

And it seems as though your kid loves movies just as much as I did at that age. Have you tried 'Arsenic' yet?

Sounds good, the reviews make it sound like a great little Mexploitation flick. Worth a rent?

Yeah. It's nothing special, but there are some actual surgery shots edited into the mad scientist bit that make this one extra weird. Silly but fun.

alkytrio666 01-29-2007 05:34 PM

Hahaha.

...(but seriously, can't you take a hint?)...

crabapple 01-30-2007 02:06 PM

Ahah! The one I saw was newly-restored and a longer version, so maybe this is the one on the new DVDs?
