I don't think they got killed. There was a bearded guy there on the pikes, but I took that to be the "leader" of the highwaymen they made a transport/protection deal with - because in the flashback you see them rushing in and fighting with the fallen. Gotta say I'm glad this was one of the times that followed the map, but not exactly. So, what do we think happened with the baby the old chick was looking after? |
Yeah, you're right. Most of the men that were up there were The Highwaymen. It's a shame because I thought they were pretty cool and I was hoping they would have done something more with them. And I didn't necessarily mean I wanted the two musicians to die, I just felt like they didn't take the zombie apocalypse serious enough to be hardcore survivalists like the others who have been around for a while.
Speaking of the leader of The Highwaymen though, did anyone else notice for a brief moment it seems that he turned Tara straight? She gave him the fuck me eyes when he saved her life. |

Season finale was meh. I think last week's episode would have made a much better finale. I did miss the radio thing at the end though, what was that? Was it Rick?
Also, despite what she's doing, I think Lydia is still working with her mother. Everything she is doing to look like she wants to kill herself is when she knows people are watching. Last night when Carol swung at the Walker behind her, Lydia didn't know the Walker was behind her but she ducked anyway. I think she's just a hell of an actress. I mean as nuts as her mother is, she would have killed her right then and there at the fair if she wanted to. I mean Lydia has been to all three of the main communities now and knows the whole layout of everything. Also, if she really wanted to get bit by that Walker last night she would have. Mark my words, it's an act. |
Okay I went back and listen to it again. That is definitely not Rick, it's a female voice. On The Walking Dead Facebook page I'm hearing about a new group that supposed to come about soon called The Commonwealth which is apparently a community in Ohio with over 50,000 people in it. Something tells me Rick is there and will return if not next season than season 11.

I couldn't tell what was being said...I assumed it was Maggie? Yeah the finale was...uneventful... |
It was depressing as fuck! But like I said though, and I really, really hope I'm wrong about this, for Carol's sake, but I honestly think Lydia is playing them. And as far as I'm concerned, Ezekiel can go to hell. Why is the fuck would he say that to Daryl? He knows it wasn't his fault about what happened. He knows how much Daryl means to Carol. Was he referring to him and Lidia or just him? I take it as Daryl is taking her on is his responsibility now. Somehow I wonder if they are going to hook up. How fucking sad would it be if the first time Daryl fell in love with someone she double-crossed him? That would be brutal.
All I could make out was hello at the very beginning and is anybody out there at the end. Everything else was way too scrambled and I don't think it was meant to be known what was said. It was a woman's voice though and unless it's a new character, my guess is it is either Maggie or Jadis. Despite not being able to make out the words, the tone in the voice reminds me more of Jadis then Maggie. But now that I know about the Commonwealth and so many people are talking about them, I wonder if that is where Jadis took Rick to. I know it will still be a while before everything is finished with the whispers, And I hope it ends like it does in the comics, but I wouldn't expect that to be over with until at least the end of next season, around this time next year, or perhaps even beyond that, but Rick will be coming back soon I'm sure. Besides, I heard that Melissa McBride just signed a seven-year contract supposedly. The queen isn't going anywhere just yet. It is kind of hard to believe that the shows going to be around at least that much longer. Wouldn't it be some shit if it turned out Rick and Jadis hooked up? That would be a pretty awkward reunion... |
Not a good episode. Especially for a finale.
Rather slow and boring, and so many plot holes and head scratchers. Negan and Lilith - WTF happened to Negan's leg? Looked like the wind blew hard and what??? blew a saw blade off the ground that cut open his leg? ::big grin:: Yeah, happens to me all the time. I get they wanted the scene where Michonne goes to Negan where he's alone on a bed injured being sewn up by the doctor... instead of re-chained somewhere in a group. But why not just have Negan get cut by some razor wire cause of low visibility in the blowing snow? I don't think Negan would be the only person to go after Lilith. And it was all inside Alexandria's walls... they were just going from one house to another... ooh, scary! And they had just shown Rosita insisted Negan stay chained... why didn't the episode show when and why they took off his chains? Could have been much needed funny compelling scene. Cause he didn't have them on going after Lilith. What am I missing? ::roll eyes:: Did Negan really have to lay both his coats on Lilith? Isn't that letting the sap boil over a little too much? |
Different subject. Um... why exactly is the Kingdom being abandoned in the middle of winter during a harsh winter storm? ::confused::
Very cold weather may be unusual for Virginia, but the Kingdom has been through many winters. We heard they were low in supplies, part of the reason for the Fair, but from experience they'd know before winter if they have enough... If it's food, why leave to the Hilltop in winter? They can't help plant crops in the winter. It's just a matter of food transport. They never said Hilltop was building housing for them in the fall... so they wouldn't have the space to house them. What'd the episode say? They left because the water pipes broke down and there was rot? What rot? That insidious 'spontaneous winter rot'? They may have been pumping water, somehow, from a stream, but the water is still there. People melt ice to drink. Piping and rot is not a reason to leave in the middle of winter. Move in the spring. Maybe they expect the cold to leave Virginia quickly, where they can build housing and clear more area for spring planting... but they don't say as much. What did I miss? ::confused:: |

Rosita actually encouraged Gabriel to remove his chains, rather than wanting him to keep them on. They both realized he wasn't going to hurt them and wanted to give him a chance. Quote:
Negan is not a bad guy. If the show followed him and the savior's from the beginning, we would have cheered him on as he killed Glenn and Abraham, especially considering that the group struck the savior's first by killing them in their sleep. What was Negan supposed to do? What would Rick's group have done if the savior's came out of nowhere and killed a bunch of their people in their sleep? Over all this time Negan and Judith have built quite a strong bond with each other. He cares a lot about her because he respects the hell out of her father and brother. Quote:

You're using a speak-to-text app, aren't you? Is that new? How you liking it?
I just noticed today reading your last few posts. I can tell because you've posted a few synonyms, like "Henry mint that if water starts leaking,". You wouldn't accidentally type mint for meant. I forgot they moved to Virginia. I just remembered when they left Atlanta. Quote:
Also, I just watch it... They show a couple 'things' blowing by Negan, and then something that looks like a hunk of wood with a sharp side blows into Negan's leg, he yelps in pain and goes down. He definitely doesn't hurt his leg when he falls. It's quite ridiculous really. They could have had something blow into his face and him fall and cut his leg on something on the ground, but they don't. ::big grin:: Quote:

Yeah I use Text-to-Speech because of my eyes. It's really hard on me trying to type a bunch and I know my auto-correct butchers what I say. I go back and try to fix things but I know I miss a lot and I know it has to be an eyesore for some people. I apologize for the annoyance.
I must have missed a lot then. I was thinking Rosita said something other than dead, like if Michonne caught him, they would say something in his favor, I guess I misheard. Anyway, yeah it was weird. I still think Lydia is playing them. If she wanted that Walker to bite her, she would have let it. Then when she begged Carol to kill her, she had no idea there was a walker behind her oh, so assuming Carol was swinging at her, Lydia ducked to miss the blow. I'm worried she's going to do something to get Daryl to fall in love with her and either kill him or break his heart worse than it has ever been broken. I think if Lydia truly turned against her mother, Alpha would have killed her at the fair, but she didn't. The way they were talking to each other made me believe it was staged. I think the sadness we saw from alpha last week when she killed one of her own for not obeying her orders, was just her fear of Lydia being with the Enemy. I mean Alpha told Daryl, "I don't think you can take care of my daughter, but I hope I'm wrong", why would she care otherwise? Alpha may be a monster, but she loves her daughter dearly. After doing what they just did to the others, I think it made her more fearful for her daughter's safety which made her emotional, which explains why she had Alpha whip the merciless hell out of her, because in her mind pain is discipline. Unless Ezekiel was mostly referring to Lydia, I want to know why in the hell he said what he did to Daryl, knowing Carol would never stand for that. I mean if it is because of Lydia, I totally understand, especially if I'm right about my theory. Ezekiel is smarter than he lets on, but I still think that was a really shitty thing of him to say. I mean even if he told Daryl if he got rid of Lydia he could come with them, I think that would have made more sense. Darryl almost died trying to find Sophie... shouldn't that mean something to Ezekiel, even if Sophie wasn't his daughter and he never got to meet her? Also, something else to add to my theory, Enid and the girl with the glasses on the pikes were random. I realize the old woman and Frankie were random as well, but I think but I think it was to mask the fact that the two women who came and found Henry and Lydia, were two of the women that were beheaded. It sucks about Tara, but she would be considered the most important skill in terms of the ranks in the communities. I believe her death was intentional just like Enid and the girl with the glasses. I hate that's all we get from The Highwaymen. I was kind of looking forward to see what they were going to do. |

I'm assuming this is Photoshop, but it's badass and whoever made it did a great job!

That's not to say Lydia isn't traumatized and can't be manipulated at a future date, but she wasn't going to any happier with her mom after she killed Henry. I've seen men, like Ezekiel, say that to friends before. Men are like that. They'll step on your face to keep their woman. Zeke knows Lydia reminds Carol of Henry, but so does Zeke, and maybe Daryl too. So he figures Daryl knows he's talking code about Lydia, cause Daryl would have to take her with him. And that's exactly what Daryl offered to Carol. No dice for Zeke. But Carol has a history of adopting kids just like Lydia, so that's what's gonna happen. |
Those are some really good points actually. Alpha is a very strange character. Unlike with Negan and the savior's, The Whispers started all this when they killed Jesus and then kill the others after beta and some of the other Whispers went after Daryl and Henry and Lydia. They never had a reason to kill anyone.
So then there is this... it sounds like a female voice, but it could be the voice of a light voiced male. As for females, it could either be Maggie, Jadis or someone from Commonwealth. Whoever it was didn't sound like they were in distress, and I wonder, even though Ezekiel left the room, there's a chance Judith could have heard that or whoever has the 3rd radio could have also heard it by chance. Eugene made three of them but since the kingdom was abandoned and have moved to Hilltop, they probably have two radios with Alexandria having one, unless Eugene has it. |

Considering the Commonwealth is in Ohio and such a size that it holds 50,000 people, that's probably where Rick and Jadis are at, but Maggie I have no damn clue. I wouldn't think even if they did come into the show, our group would leave yet. There's still plenty of story left with the Whispers And even though ezekiel's head wasn't on one of those Pikes, it doesn't mean his death couldn't be soon, or even Rosita for that matter. Since she is pregnant and they are trying to cut the numbers down a little anyway, I could see the two of them both dying soon, kind of like how Abraham died by negan's hands rather than the arrow through the eye like Denise on the show did. Who knows though?

In regards to the timeline progression vs the comic...while some things have gone purely in their own direction and a few of the characters that have died/lived haven't always matched their comic counterparts - there's enough basic points that have ran somewhat parallel that I think I can answer this, just about anyway.
It won't be long - When Eugene made contact with the mystery chick on the radio...well going by the comic she belongs to...something something something...that leads to....something something something....that is basically the last challenge/hurdle/threat that was seen to have faced the group prior to the ending of the comic. So it was the whisperers, then not much until the storyline that leads to the end. |
I stopped reading you post... Does your post have "spoilers" from the comic? Since no doubt some things come from the comic, I don't want to read about anything in the comic that might be on the way on the TV show.
|
I've said nothing specific. I don't think so anyway.
But to make sure if you don't wanna read what I said, more barebones: In the comic, there was only really one arc/storyline after the whisperers. |

If you're talking about the future shows in the franchise, like FTWD and whatever this one with the younger folks in it is...they are all seperate from the comics.

It's already in their 10 season now havd to see what happens |

So the comics have ended? And there's one more arc unused in it? Maybe there will be another comic... Or hopefully the writers are smart enough to write some new arcs. |
Anyone watching The Walking Dead: World Beyond?
|
We started the first episode.
Probably look at more. It seems ok, but maybe only one of the characters actually grabbed me. Kind of came out as a surprise to me as I hadn't been following it, and all of a sudden there it is on Amazon. |
