The Exorcist is so not scary ...its just some wak demon bitch in a bed,

when i was a kid, Tales from the Crypt made me walk out of the theatre i was so scared shitless. (this is the old UK movie .. not the TV show or movies spawned by it)

Actially ...there was a made for TV movie called the Norliss Tapes .. that scared me too ..probably around the same time as Crypt.

The Mothman Prophecies wasnt even a real "horror" movie was it? :confused:

technically it was. It wasn't bloody or like any other typical horror film, but it was scary as hell.

It explains why you dont have to be religious to find the exorcist scary. i am an athiest, i have never been at all religious, and the movie scares the shit out of me.
