I'd have to go with Jason. The Friday the 13 Series do have some humor in it.

I think bad Ash would lose to Jason, but good Ash would win. If good Ash can beat a whole forest of evil ghouls and a whole army of undead soldiers, killing one big undead guy shouldn't be too hard for him. I wonder if the Nekronomicon would work on Jason. (though Jason may come back for him every 4 years or so)
I've heard Friday the 13 movies are supposed to have some humor, but gore and victims being killed in absurd ways isn't enough for me, I need more personality from the lead. Of course I'd really need to see more to say. Jason X didn't impress me much at all. He just seemed like a typical killer with no motivation. What would you recommend as the best Jason movie to try and convince a skeptical horror fan?

Funny you mention this. Well, since the Necronomicon and the knife in Evil Dead II did kill Jason in Jason Goes to Hell (don't believe me, look it up), I'm gonna say Ash.
