Actually this is one of the reasons why I don't bother to go to the theater to see movies anymore. I'd rather wait for DVD and relax at home; I can pause and I am not bugged by obnoxius people.

thats why I almost never go there..watch dvd at home

MTC...sorry to hear it was such a bad experience...glad you stood up for yourself though. Some people never learn until somebody puts them in their place. Ignorant fools :p

As a side note...it always amazes me how parents are so willing to take their children to R-rated movies. When I went to see Land of the Dead, I couldn't believe the number of children there were in the theatre. Naturally they started crying, and ruining it for everyone...the parents had the nerve to tell them to "SHUT UP". It's like...how did you expect your children to react to a zombie movie? Did you think they would giggle with glee? ;) Of course they're going to scream/cry etc...so don't then sit there and tell them to shut up. BAH. People suck :D

yeah theatre behavior bugs the shit out of me too

Yes indeed this is the reason I dislike to attend the theatre as well. Like a few people mentioned above I usually wait until a movie is released on DVD.
I also like to go on weeknights because I dont like the huge crowds during the weekends. I also attend the latest show possible. BUT recently when I went to see LAND OF THE DEAD I had the "people wanted to sit around me" experience. There was maybe 6 or 7 total in the theatre but 3 wanted to sit behind me. So I sit there looking back giving them a WTF look and I tell my friend outloud "Shit they must like us" Of course the retards just sat there LOL

I haven't been to the theatre in ages. Its usually to packed and annoying for me..... and like you guys have said I hate annoying weird people sitting by me.

I cried at 'Land of The Dead' when I saw what George Romero had done to his franchise :D

I know how you feel. I didnt let it get me hyped up because I had a feeling it was dissapoint me. It has some great kill scenes and I love the fake out that Dennis Hooper`s character does. That was funny as hell

Even worse, I get 11:30 phone call to see it at 12:01 with my buddy who is a fanatic. I rush over there, get there before them, show's now sold out and he couldn't get in. Top it off with one of the worst films I''ve seen in ages. Looked like a 'Road Warrior' ripoff to me.
