I could never put together a top 100 movies list, let alone a top 100 horror movies list.

BTW- Good list for a beginner Chris. The Hills Have Eyes (remake), was, without a doubt, the best made remake ever (scored 4.5/5 from me)! But, it doesn't even come close, IMO, to the excellence that was the original. Still a good list for a beginner.

It probably isn't, like you say, but compiling all of the movies that I love into one list, in a specific order, does seem a little bit challenging for me. I tried it once, and, sadly, I forgot a few (which isn't really a good sign for those particular movies). I'm pretty sure I could do a top 100 Horror list a lot easier though.

Dawn of the Dead was directed by George Romero in 1978. Zombie was directed by Lucio Fulci in 1979.

I did, however, find one thing calling the official title of the original Dawn of the Dead this... 'Zombie: Dawn of the Dead', so I guess that must have been what he was refering to. Maybe he hasn't seen Fulci's Zombie yet.

Well, what I was refering to is that Dawn of the Dead was released in Italy undder the name Zombie, re-edited by Dario Argento. It's still the same movie, but it's (supposedly) alot different. Ive yet to see that version myself.

I believe Dawn of the Dead in Europe was released as Zombi and to cash in on the popularity of that movie (and send out his own little tribute to a movie he loved) Argento released his film as Zombi 2. In America the rated version of Argento's was called Zombie I believe, while the unrated (and best) version is still titled Zombi 2. I probably missed stuff or maybe I'm wrong all together but that's how I remember the story.

Dawn of the dead was released in italy as Zombi fulci released his film as Zombi 2 to run with the success of Romeo's film. In america however Fulci's film is known as Zombi so yes Zombie and Zombie 2 are the same movies in america and Dawn of the dead and Zombi are the same movies in itally or you could say Dawn of the Dead is the same as Zombi 2 which is know known as Zombi here in the states and yes i have seen fulcis zombi i have all five of the zombie movies do not question me for you are wrong.

your right but its Fulci's zombie not Argento he produced and co-wrote Romero's Dawn of the Dead
