Angela Bettis would be good in dramas or chick flicks.
I just don't like her as the lead in horror films.I think The Toolbox Murders (2004) would have been alot better had she not been in it.

Waited a long time to see May.

When finally I rented it...well, lets just say I realised why slasherman hates it with a vengeance. It just didnt fit my cup of tea.

I really liked May. :) It was a good, independant-feeling flick (and the ending!). I had mixed-opinions about The Woods though. Definately doesn't touch May, but it wasn't HORRIBLE (not good either). Sick Girl was in between the two, liked it but didn't love it.

I didn't really care for it all that much either. I think that The Woods is definitely a step forward for McKee, and it proved that he can make a film without lesbianism.

**CONTAINS SPOILERS**

I think the problem some horror fans have with May is, it's not really a horror movie. It's more a psychological portrait that leads to the slaughter.

This movie has a ton of excellent moments
Both laundromat scenes
Her response to Adam's homemade movie
Cutting herself and then Anna Faris
Spraying the cat with Lysol or something
Falling on her butt at the restaurant
Crossing the street and Adam doesn't notice her
When Adam stabs her with the fake knife and she doesn't flinch.
When she comes home and watches the answering machine
Calling Adam and leaving the babbling messages
Her meeting the blind girl who notices she smokes

That's just a few of the really brilliant moments that make up May's fragile profile and lead to the conclusion.

This movie was made up of a lot of little things that most horror fans don't pay attention to, because they want to see the blood. Which is why I personally don't consider this a horror movie.

Anyone who watches this more than once, take notice that Angela Bettis never uses the same expression twice.

I loved May. It was great in a twisted way. It was pretty creepy.
But i LOVED it!
I recommend it definitely.

People are not 100% perfect....only certain parts of them are
yeah...I love this movie!! Angela Bettis did really a good job.

btw, THE WOODS is a mediocre horror flick..it's not comparable with May.

Even though I'm probably getting out on ignore by our Norwegian friend for this (which is a shame, but so be it) I'm going to have to say that I really enjoyed May. Even though there were certain parts that weren't so well executed, the flick had it's heart in the right place and I feel it's one of the more original flicks to come around in the last 5 years. I own it and I'm not ashamed:D

Now, if you want to talk about Boo...
